Global Village is back for its 31st season, and this time the destination arrives with a new theme, a fresh set of attractions, and 7 full months of programming for residents and tourists across Dubai.
What is Global Village and why does it matter
Global Village is the region’s first family destination covering culture, shopping, and entertainment. The attraction first welcomed visitors in 1997. Since that opening, the popular destination has welcomed more than 100 million guests.
Today, its pavilions showcase regions including the Middle East and North Africa, Asia, Europe, Africa, the Americas and South Asia. Pavilion entrances are designed around famous landmarks and traditional architecture from different parts of the world. Each pavilion sells products, food, and crafts from its home country, so visitors can move from one culture to the next within a single evening.
Global Village closes during the summer because much of the attraction is outdoors, with the extreme heat making the park unsuitable for its usual seasonal operations. The closure also gives teams time to carry out maintenance and prepare new attractions, pavilions and experiences for the next season.
Season 31 dates, timings and theme
The attraction will welcome visitors from Wednesday, 14 October 2026, until May 17, 2027, for a new season featuring a wide range of entertainment, cultural and shopping experiences under the slogan “A More Wonderful World.” The opening event begins at 6:00 PM.
The popular family destination confirmed that Season 31 will introduce several new offerings across the destination, and further announcements will disclose new attractions and enhanced features before opening day. Additions expected to return include Gardens of the World, Dragon Kingdom, and The Little Wonderers at Carnaval, alongside an expanded Main Stage, extended Fiesta Street, and the Dessert District.
Tuesdays remain ladies and families only, except on public holidays. Visitors should plan their days in advance, because crowd levels vary significantly between weekdays and weekends.
Tickets and who gets free entry
Entry is priced at AED 25 on weekdays (Sunday to Thursday) and AED 30 on weekends (Friday and Saturday), and entry is free for under-threes, ages 65 and above, and people of determination.
Global Village has traditionally been one of Dubai’s more affordable entertainment destinations, with entry tickets starting at around AED 25. This low entry price makes it accessible to large families and groups. Season 31 tickets will be available later this year, so visitors should watch the official website for the ticket sale date.

What to expect inside: pavilions, rides and dining
Last season featured 30 pavilions representing more than 90 cultures, over 3,500 shopping outlets, 250-plus dining options and more than 200 rides and games. Season 31 is expected to match or exceed those numbers, with new concepts added across all zones.
The Carnaval zone features more than 200 rides, games and attractions, while food lovers can choose from around 200 to 250 dining outlets, including around 24 multicultural restaurants and cafes, as well as more than 170 to 200 street-food kiosks and speciality concepts.
Season 30 introduced Dragon Kingdom, an 11-room interactive adventure, alongside Gardens of the World and The Little Wonderers for younger visitors. Global Village plans new attractions alongside returning entertainment, dining, shopping and cultural offerings for Season 31.
Expert perspective on Global Village
Global Village occupies a space that few seasonal attractions in the world can match. It brings together genuine cultural representation, affordable access, and large-scale entertainment in one open-air format that runs for 7 months. For tourism and hospitality professionals operating in Dubai, it functions as an anchor event for the winter calendar. Families plan entire visits around it, hotels see occupancy shifts connected to its opening and closing dates, and the pavilion model continues to prove that authentic cultural experiences drive repeat visits more effectively than standard theme park formats. Season 31, with its “A More Wonderful World” theme, signals a continued investment in broadening that cultural scope.

How to get there and plan your visit
Visitors can take Dubai Metro to Union, Mall of the Emirates, or Rashidiya, then transfer to RTA bus routes serving Global Village, or drive via E311 (SMBZ Road) and follow signs to Global Village at Exit 37. Large free parking areas are available, with optional valet and priority zones.
RTA buses run directly to Global Village during the season: route 102 from Rashidiya, 103 from Union, 104 from Al Ghubaiba, and 106 from Mall of the Emirates, with timetables that vary by day so visitors should check the RTA app.
Global Village is a large outdoor destination, so visitors may want to plan enough time to explore different areas, enjoy dining options and experience entertainment programmes. Many repeat visitors split their time across 2 or 3 separate evenings to see every zone comfortably.
